Stories to Tell to Children: A Selected List. REF Z 1037 .P693 1974 Stories are grouped by several criteria: interest to specific age groups, type, holiday, country of origin, and folktales.

Twentieth Century Children's Writers. REF PN 1009 .A1 T9 1979 Lists over six hundred English language authors of fiction, poetry, and drama. Each entry consists of a brief biography, a complete list of published works, and a signed critical essay.

Most of the children's books in the Bradley Library can be found in the PZ section in the Curriculum Materials Center, located on the second floor.

West's Education Law Reporter. REF KF 4110 .A2 W47 Monthly issues of this legal reporting service provide summaries of recent cases, articles and case comments, and a cumulative index with a table of cases. Compiled texts of all cases are provided as they become available. Bound volumes with separate indexes are also provided for permanent reference.

Workshop Materials: The Impact of Current Legal Action on Educating Handicapped Children. REF KF 4210 .M3 This source provides the legislative and judicial history of basic federal laws which govern special education.

Yearbook of School Law. REF LB 2523 .Y42 The year's events in school law are reviewed with reference to cases, legislation, and regulations. Current issues are shelved in reference, and older issues are shelved in the circulating collection.

Special Education

Encyclopedia of Special Education. REF LC 4007 .E53 Over 2,000 signed articles cover the subject of special education. Topics include: key terminology, clinical disorders, educational and psychological tests, and laws and court decisions.

Handbook of Learning Disabilities. REF LC 4704 .W47 The goal of this publication is to provide both teachers and students with the essentials for understanding and treating learning disabilities. Volume I covers dimensions and diagnosis and Volume II covers methods and interventions.

Handbook of Special Education. LC 3957 .P73 This basic reference source covers the history, research, theory, methods, curricula, and delivery of special education services in the United States.

Handbook of Special Education: Research and Practice. LC 3965 .H263 The first two volumes of a proposed three-volume set that examines the research base in special education. Volume I covers learner characteristics and adaptive education. Volume II covers mildly handicapped conditions.

Problem Behavior Management. REF LC 4801 .A43 1982 This resource provides teachers with information to assist them in identifying and treating problem behavior in children and adolescents.


Tests and Measurements

ETS Test Collection Catalog. REF LB 3051 .E79 The beginning of a new series that will eventually cover over 14,000 items in the Educational Testing Service library. The series will include both commercially and privately published tests. Volume I covers over 2,000 achievement tests.

Mental Measurements Yearbook. REF BF431 .B8 Reviews standardized tests used in education, psychology, and industry. Each edition supplements the previous edition and includes bibliographies of articles on the tests.

Personality Tests and Reviews. REF BF 698.5 .B87 Contains material on personality tests found in the first editions of the Mental Measurement Yearbook as well as additional material on personality testing; a comprehensive bibliography of 513 tests; and 7,116 references on the construction, use, and validity of specific tests.

Tests: A Comprehensive Reference for Assessments in Psychology, Education, and Business. REF BF 176 .T43 Descriptions of tests include costs and names of publishers.

Test Critiques. REF BF 176 .T4195 This multi-volume set provides lengthy entries on individual tests, including an introduction describing the test in detail, a section on practical applications or uses, a section on technical aspects, and concludes with critique section.

Tests in Print. REF BF431 .B82 T47 A comprehensive bibliography of tests and a classified index to the contents of all the Mental Measurements Yearbooks.

ERIC (Education Resources Information Center). Access to ERIC via 2 sites: EBSCO and FirstSearch. 1966+. Journal articles and reports on education topics. Bradley has most of the documents which have the ERIC number prefixed with ED.

Professional Development Collection. Provides a specialized collection of more than 550 education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains more than 200 educational reports.

WilsonSelectPlus 1994+. About 1,400 full-text periodicals in all subject areas. Psychology indexes and databases.

TumbleBooks Library---a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) TumblePuzzles, and TumbleQuizzes, as well as TumbleResources for teachers.

Literature Resource Center. Provides full-text access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of authors and their works from every age and literary discipline. It covers thousands of novelists, poets, essayists, journalists and other writers. Searchable fields include: Author Name, Title, Genre,Literary Movement, and Literary Themes.

NovelistA readers' advisory database providing details about works of fiction. For school media specialists and teachers there are Picture Book Extenders and articles on Teaching with Fiction.
